Underwater Red Sea - Ras Mohammed and Tiran

by Jo Horrocks

I've been lucky enough to go to the Red Sea for a week in June for the last couple of years. We spend most of the week diving at Ras Mohammed, along Shark and Yolanda reef. There's always plenty to see there, from the schools of snappers, batfish and surgeonfish that hang out along the wall, to the wreck of the Yolanda and the reef-life that makes it their home. This year we also visited Tiran, where the soft corals and clouds of anthias put on a colourful spectacle in the clear blue waters of the Red Sea. We were based on a liveaboard boat named Whirlwind, which I'd throroughly recommend. The footage was shot using a Sony HDR-HC1 in an Aditech housing.
