Alex Mustard's Theme Portfolio

Sardinian seas

by Alex Mustard

I am pleasantly surprised that this portfolio got so many votes. I decided on a Sardinia theme for this portfolio because I thought it would be an interesting challenge having only made six photographic dives there, and I only took two lenses with me!

Regarding the portfolio - when I made it I was frustrated with the balance. I was happy with the bottom row, but couldn't really get the top row right. Having not looked at it for a few weeks it looked better when projected.

Tubwe corals and diver by Alex Mustard 1) Tube corals and diver (thanks to Jane Morgan for modelling). D2X + 10.5mm FE. 1/50th @ F10
Double cave by Alex Mustard 2) Double cave. I really wanted divers in both holes. Maybe next time... D2X + 10.5mm FE. 1/50th @ F7.1
Moray by Alex Mustard 3) Moray mouth. Mediterranean morays have big mouths. D2X + 105mm VR. 1/80th @ F16
Triple fin by Alex Mustard 4) Triplefin. The composition came straight out of CMAS competitions! The 105mm VR creates fantastic bokeh (smooth out of focus areas) which are very pleasing in this shot. D2X + 105mm VR + 5T close-up dioptre. 1/250th @ F22
Snorkeller by Alex Mustard 5) Snorkeller split level.  D2X + 10.5mm FE. 1/125th @ F13
Blenny by Alex Mustard 6) Blenny in hole. This image is a vertical crop out of a horizontal frame. The other images are uncropped. D2X + 105mm VR + 5T close-up dioptre. 1/250th @ F22
