There were three categories in the Print Competition:

• British & Irish (images taken in UK and Irish waters)
• Overseas (images taken in overseas waters)
• Advanced (images taken underwater anywhere in the world)

The Advanced category was for anyone who had:

The competition was staged in association with The Wildlife Trusts, which were seeking an image for its Marine Bill campaign.
