Techniques: Entering competitions by Colin Doeg
With the
competition season in full swing, we are delighted to benefit
from the wisdom and advice on offer from Colin, our Chairman.
Colin will discuss competitions as both judge and competitor.
It is not possible to pay full tribute to the vast wealth
of knowledge and experience held by Colin in this brief forum.
As one of the founding members of BSoUP back in 1967, along
with Peter Scoones, he was the original Chairman. Since then,
he has continued to pursue the art with passion and commitment
with long involvement in countless competitions, articles,
magazines, books, conferences and meetings. Last year, while
Master of Ceremonies at the annual London conference, he was
awarded the first ever Visions in the Sea Award for outstanding
contributions to Underwater Photography and is
currently contributing editor to Dive magazine, also writing
the monthly 'Big Shot' feature.
