Exhibition of David Doubilet's images in London

David Doubilet, one of the world's premier underwater photographers, is showing a selection of his work at the Photographers Gallery in London from May 13.

Doubilet's more than 40 assignments for the National Geographic magazine have propelled him from the Red Sea to the Great Barrier Reef of Australia, from Japan's Suruga Bay to Monterey Bay in California. The consummate artist, Doubilet also writes most elegantly about the moods and magic of this underwater world.

Going Digital?

If you are thinking of going digital then see the May issue of DIVE magazine. BSoUP member Charlie Hood reviews the latest 1-4 megapixel digital underwater camera systems on pages 53-59.

Want to win a two return flights with Air Seychelles and five nights accomodation and diving in the Seychelles to attend or participate in SUBIOS 2002 - the Seychelles annual underwater film and photography festival? Then see May's issue of DIVE magazine and turn to page 24 for full details.

Starting out?

If you are thinking of taking up underwater photography for the first time then take a look at BSoUP member Mark Webster's article on macro photography on pages 79-81 in the May issue of DIVER magazine.
