The Annual General Meeting took place on Wednesday 19th December at 8.00 p.m. at the Holland Club. From January meetings will be held to room G.01 in the Royal School of Mines.

The Agenda, Accounts, Minutes of last year's AGM and the Committe List had been circulated to all members prior to the meeting. The meeting was opened by the Chairman Joss Woolf, who outlined many of the society's achievements over the past 12 months and thanked all those who had contributed to the Society's continued success.

Our Hon. Treasure and Membership Secretary Alan Larsen and Committee Members JP Trenque and Paul Morgan stand down from the Committee at the end of the year. From January 2013, Sarah White will be taking over the Hon. Treasurer's role and Pash Baker (new to the Committee) will be taking over the Membership Secretary's role. BSoUP also welcomed Mike Brodbelt to the Committee.

After the Open Portfolio Competition results had been announced (see below) members enjoyed a splendid buffet thanks to the hard work of Joss Woolf.
