N. B. May 21st is your last opportunity to enter the British Splash-in Championships - Print competition.

Wednesday, 21st May 2008

The next BSoUP meeting takes place on Wednesday 21st May 2008 at 7.30 for 8.00 p.m. at our usual venue the Holland Club, Imperial College, S. Kensington, London. Directions.

This month we have a very special evening with BSoUP member Martin Edge, one of the best known underwater photographers in the UK. See his website for examples of his work.

Martin will descibe a new lighting technique which he accidentally stumbled on whilst playing about and experimenting in Bali last October.  It's all about the positioning and placement of flashguns. Martin says 'he has never heard or seen it mentioned before and it appears to defy everything he knows about the positioning of flash guns to achieve selective lighting of a subject'.

Focus On Competition: Close-up. Members only. Please read the rules before submitting your images via the on-line entry form in the Members Forum.

Main event: My Style

Martin has recently begun to look at his own work over the last 20 years. He will tell us where he feels his work is going and the influences which have inspired and motivated him during this time.
