Photo techniques: Digital Asset Management I by JP Trenque.

We kick off with our very own and very lovely JP Trenque reprising his role at the London Visions conference last November. If you have been using a digital camera for more than two weeks, you will probably already have quite a collection of images. JP has recently discovered a new method of cataloguing and storing your photos. He will share his tips on naming, ranking and keywording your picture files to allow easy storage, access and retrieval. JP has enjoyed increasing success in recent years not least of which was being voted BBC News Photographer of the Year 2005 and only last week his 'Life beneath the waves' portfolio was featured prominently on the BBC News website. Check it out yourself at www.jptrenque.com

Main event: Digital epiphany of an old pro by John Bantin.

John is the highly experienced technical editor of Diver magazine. Following a long and successful career as a first-division photographer in UK advertising, in 1990 he transferred all his efforts to photographing and writing about the world of diving and has been doing so ever since. Recently, he finally launched himself into the digital world. His talk will describe his 'digital epiphany' - the pitfalls and challenges for an 'old pro' (his words!) on the road to abandoning film and completely embracing electronic image-gathering. Much of John's work is on www.divernet.com and his own website is at www.johnbantin.co.uk
