BSoUP
meets on the third Wednesday of each month in the function
room at the Holland Club which
is in the Sherfield Building of Imperial College, London
SW7.
The
meetings begin at 7.30p.m. for 8.00 p.m. and are informal
and informative.
Technical talk
They usually begin with a photo basics talk on technique which
is intended to be most helpful to the less experienced.
Competition
There
are regular opportunities to view the best of members' work
by monthly and annual slide competitions. The
monthly 'Focus On ...' contests are based on pre-set themes
and are for BSoUP members only. Four portfolio competitions are
held annually and three of these are open to members and non-members.
Entries must be submitted online. Please read the Rules before entering. All Focus on entries will be projected
and voted on by the audience present. There may be preselection for Portfolio competitions depending on the number of entries.
Main event
The
main event is usually a presentation by a member or guest
speaker, usually a leading exponent of the art of underwater
photography.
