The
Society participated in the London
International Dive Show organised by Diver
Magazine in association with the British Sub-Aqua Club. LIDS
2002 was held at ExCeL in London's Docklands over the weekend
of 2-3 March this year.
Colin
Doeg, co-founder of BSoUP and current Chairman, set up the
exhibition of prints by members on Friday, all of which had
been mounted by Peter Ladell (Committee Member). Additions
to the exhibition this year included the winning Best of British
Portfolios for 1999 and 2001.
The
BSoUP stand, provided courtesy of Diver Magazine, was manned
throughout the weekend. Volunteers included Colin and Peter
as well as Martha Tressler (Treasurer), Anthony Holley, Gill
McDonald (Membership Secretary), Jan Maloney (Meetings Secretary),
Peter Tatton and Linda Pitkin.
The
next Dive Show, Dive
2002, will take place at the NEC (National Exhibition
Centre) Birmingham on Saturday 12th October 2002 - 9:30am-6:00pm
and Sunday 13th October 2002 - 9:30am-5:00pm |
