In
New Orleans, on the 25th January, 2001 Martin Edge
was presented with the prestigious SSI Platinum Pro 5000 diver
award.
The
award is sponsored by 'Scuba Schools International', Fort
Collins, Florida.
To
achieve the award Martin had to have:
*
Verification that he had completed 2500 open water dives
* 10 or more years of professional experience in the scuba
field
* A contribution to the diving industry
* Letters of recommendation from two existing Platinum Pro
5000 divers.
It
was documented that his contribution to Underwater Photography
through his courses, workshops expeditions and publications
over a ten year period, made a significant advancement in
the promotion of Underwater Photography. His latest publication
'The Underwater Photographer' was praised by professionals
including, Stephen Frink, Jim Church and Jet Britnall.
