The stunning
underwater photographs shown in the calendar are among the
best in the world. All were entries in Image 2003, the International
Festival of Underwater Photography and Film, the 11th such
festival organised by DIVER magazine, in association with
BSoUP. Next taking place in Autumn 2005, this famous competition
caters for underwater photographers at all levels of experience,
with no fewer than five categories, and 18 classes, covering
prints, slides, manipulated images, portfolios, videos and
cine film. There are also categories for professionals as
well as non-professionals. A total on nine superb trophies,
54 gold, silver and bronze medals and up to 100 Highly Commended
Certificates are there to be won, and valuable prizes will
also be presented to the trophy winners.
