Focus On 1986

Winner - Linda Pitkin

The final of this year's FOCUS ON included twenty four of the twenty eight slides which had qualified in one of the previous nine months competitions. Choosing the three best from so many outstanding shots was not an easy task. Third place with 44 points went to GEORGETTE DOUWMA with a beautiful shot of a soft coral, which had come first in the Close-up category in February. Second place with 60 points went to DAVID GEORGE for his interesting composition of glass fish sweeping up the ladder on the wreck of the Jolande. David had won the January FOCUS ON Vreck category with this wide-angle shot.

The winner of this year's FOCUS ON competition with 72 points was LINDA PITKIN with a colourful close-up of a Red Sea fish. Linda's winning shot had won the Fish category in March.

The Society's Chairman, PETER SCOONES, presented the three winners with cash prizes of £50, £25 and £15 respectively,
